At The Celiac Pet Project, our mission is to fund initiatives dedicated to
providing truly gluten-free solutions for individuals living with severe celiac disease. We
recognize the immense challenges faced by those with severe sensitivities to gluten, where even
trace amounts can lead to debilitating symptoms and long-term health complications.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of all individuals with severe Celiac disease and
gluten intolerance by training and matching highly trained service dogs that can detect gluten
in
their environment.
Our goal is to train and place service dogs that can detect gluten in food, beverages, and other
items, and alert their handlers to potential sources of contamination. We believe that our dogs
can provide an invaluable service to individuals with severe Celiac disease and gluten
intolerance, helping them navigate daily life with greater confidence and ease.
With compassion and determination, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the
lives of severe
celiacs by offering practical support and innovative solutions.
Through our grant-funded
initiatives, we aim to address the unique needs of individuals with severe celiac disease,
ensuring access to reliable foods and solutions counseling.
The initiatives we support
provide truly gluten-free solutions free from contamination. Currently, the
standard of cross-contamination permitted in gluten-free products in most countries is 15-20
parts per million. We fund TrueCeliac that aims to reach zero parts. By advocating for
stricter regulations and conducting thorough testing, we strive to create a world where
individuals with severe celiac disease can confidently embrace a gluten-free lifestyle without
compromise.
